Modern Residential Complex

Junction Library

Set in downtown Toronto, the Junction Library reimagines the public library as an inward-facing retreat from the surrounding city. Rother than opening outward, the building centers around a central atrium that draws light and movement into its core. Each level opens onto this central space, creating a calm, wood-lined interior that supports both quiet study and casual gathering. The compact footprint allowed for an exploration of sectional layering, warm materiality, and the rhythm of vertical circulation. This project was on opportunity to explore how introspective architecture can still feel vibrant and social, even in a dense urban setting.
